Sidecar uses AI agents to provide automation features. When using AI agents:

- AI processing occurs on secure servers and is subject to strict data handling policies
- We do not use your data to train AI models without your explicit consent
- You maintain control over which automations are enabled and can review AI suggestions

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- Service providers: Third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf (e.g., hosting, analytics, payment processing, and text message delivery through providers such as Twilio and mobile carriers). We share information with these providers only as needed to operate the Service — not for their own marketing purposes.
- AI processing: Data processed by AI systems to provide automation features.
- Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights and safety.
- Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

8. SMS and Text Messaging
If you opt in to receive text messages from Sidecar, we may send SMS messages related to your account and use of the Service, including account, lead, task, scheduling, and assistance messages, security alerts, product notifications, and conversational replies from Max AI (our conversational assistant). Message frequency may vary based on your account activity. Message and data rates may apply.
8.1 How You Opt In
We only send SMS messages to phone numbers you provide and for which you give explicit consent. When you add or change the phone number on your profile in Sidecar, you must check an unchecked consent box confirming that you agree to receive SMS notifications from Sidecar. We do not send SMS messages without this opt-in. Enabling the Max AI Assistant in your account settings is an additional, separate opt-in to receive assistant messages from Max; this control is off by default and must be actively enabled.
8.2 How to Opt Out and Get Help
You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message from Sidecar. For help, reply HELP or contact us at support@sidecar.pro.
8.3 Mobile Information and Consent Data
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except with aggregators and providers of the text messaging services used to deliver messages (such as Twilio and mobile carriers), solely to enable message delivery. We do not sell or rent mobile phone numbers or SMS consent data.

9. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Our service is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
